Champions Trophy 2013 Teams and Schedules

ICC Champions Trophy - England and Wales 2013As we know that we are at the closure of Pepsi IPL 2013 which is going to end on 26th May 2013. The good news for all Indian Punters that just after the Indian Premier League is over the Champions Trophy is waiting to start. Champions Trophy 2013 will begin on Thursday, June 6, 2013 in England as per cricket schedule announced. ICC Champions Trophy 2013 is an international Tournament to be organized by England. Champions Trophy 2013 will consist of 15 ODI matches to be hosted by England in June 2013. The ICC Champions Trophy 2013 Tournament will comes to end on Jun 23, 2013. There will be 8 International teams which will be divided into 2 Groups of 4 teams in each group A and B.

Each team play every other team in its group once. Following the group stage, the top two teams from each group progresses to the semi-finals, where the winner of Group A plays the runner up of Group B (in the 1st semi-final) and the winner of Group B plays the runner up of Group A (in the 2nd semi-final). The winners of the semi-finals contest the Final.

The 2013 ICC Champions Trophy is a One Day International cricket tournament held in England and Wales between 6 and 23 June 2013. Three cities will host the tournament's matches: London (at The Oval), Birmingham (at Edgbaston) and Cardiff (at Cardiff Wales Stadium). The winners of the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy will earn $2,000,000 in prize money, the largest amount since the tournament's inception. It will be the seventh and final ICC Champions Trophy, as it is due to be replaced by the ICC World Test Championship in 2017.
